Aims & Activities
Providing 1hr free, peer-guided forest bathing strolls for local people, operating across 12 parks throughout Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark green spaces, providing over 120 walks a year. Forest Bathing is a slow, silent walk prescribed by doctors to reduce stress (no water is involved). We take referrals as these sessions run the same session in each park and help reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, reduce rumination and improve overall wellbeing. The project has supported over 2,000 people since 2021. "Ambassador volunteers" support our walks by helping the Walk Leaders with simple tasks like signing in attendees and supporting on the walks themselves. Many find this both rewarding and a means to support their own wellbeing.
