Welcare is a family support charity that provides support & help to vulnerable children up to the age of 13yrs in South London and East Surrey.
Welcare offers help for families with problems arising, which may include relationship breakdown, domestic violence, isolation, poverty, housing or health issues. We support children who may struggle with the transition to secondary school, and who may display behavioural difficulties.
The focus of our preventive work is to provide both practical and emotional support & advice. These services include:
- Advocacy
- Individual and family sessions offering practical advice & information
- Family support programme for parents and children (including MySpace, our domestic abuse recovery programme)
- Mentoring programme for children aged 8-13yrs experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties
- Practical help, such as emergency food parcels and Christmas Toys.
