Bromley Sight Centre Assistive Technology Service

Kent Association for the Blind (KAB)

Getting to grips with new technology can seem scary but with the right equipment and training, we will have you reading your mail, writing to friends and family or ordering your shopping online quicker than you think.

Our free assistive technology service will teach you how to access information and communicate using computers and other technology regardless of your level of sight, age or ability. Training can be given on a one to one basis or in small friendly groups and includes touch typing, using computers, smart phones and tablets.

Our assistive technology workers can advise you on what equipment is most suitable for you depending on your individual needs and will teach you how to use anything they recommend. You can arrange to visit us at our Sight Centre in Bromley to try out the equipment or we can come and see you at home. We may also be able to loan you some equipment to help you decide if its right for you.

Please note that we cannot repair equipment or provide technical support.
