ParkBathe offers free, peer-guided one-hour wellbeing walks inspired by forest bathing and designed to support mental wellbeing through gentle nature connection. Using simple sensory invitations based around the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique, sessions encourage participants to slow down, engage their senses and take a pause from the pressures of everyday life.
Walks are accessible, low-pressure and suitable for people experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, social isolation or bereavement. No experience or particular fitness level is needed, and low mobility-friendly locations are available. Sessions are slow-paced and mostly silent, with no pressure to talk or share. We provide sessions in Cator Park every second Sunday of the month at 11am.
Each walk follows the same consistent format across all ParkBathe hubs, making the programme suitable for social prescribing and community referrals across 12 South East London locations (120 walks yearly) Contact vanessa@parkbathe.co.uk for information.
