We offer debt help. Phone CAP's freephone number. CAP will talk to you and assign a debt coach and volunteer from your local CAP debt centre who will meet you either in your home or at our Penge office, as you prefer. The debt coach will collect key details about your income and outgoings and report this to our CAP support hub in Bradford. All information is held in strictest confidence.
Our support hub will provide advice on ways to deal with your debt. This may involve negotiating affordable payments with each creditor and stopping unfair interest and charges where possible. If you are in severe debt, we can discuss with you alternatives such as a debt relief order or bankruptcy and, in some cases, help you with these. The debt coach from CAP Penge will visit you again to explain the advice to you.
If you would like to meet a CAP Penge debt coach, please call the freephone number below. Calls to this number are free from landlines and mobiles in the UK. If you have any questions about the service you can call the number or email Gareth Hall, our centre manager: garethhall@capuk.org.
