SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, provides lifelong support to those who are serving or who have ever served in the British Army, the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the Royal Air Force, the Reserve Forces and their families. We work in partnership with other military charities and specialist organisations to ensure that those who turn to us receive the help and support they need. We offer a wide range of services including: support for those facing life changing experiences such as injury and illness; services for children, young carers, respite, short breaks and peer support; adoption services and bespoke fostering service and housing services. In addition we also have a free and confidential telephone helpline to provide information and advice for serving personnel, reserves, veterans and their families. It is completely independent of the chain of command.
