Cancer Self Help Group

Irish Community Services

Our group includes a number of people who have battled and overcome cancer themselves. We are enthusiastic in supporting cancer patients.

We aim to reduce the stigma of cancer within the community and enable cancer patients to develop a positive attitude and enjoy life through sharing experiences and providing mutual support to each other.

How can we help?

Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. With the support and mutual collaboration of the Irish Community Services Cancer Self Help Group, you do not have to go through it alone.

  • we support you through group discussions
  • we offer wellbeing activities
  • we can provide referalls to the Macmillan Buddie Scheme
  • we give practical advice
  • we suggest coping techniques
