Bromley Well provides support to people in Bromley borough who are caring for others.
A carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage otherwise because of frailty, illness or disability.
Bromley Well Carers support services are for:
Young Carers- young people who care for others
Mutual Carers- adult siblings or adult parents and children in mutually caring relationships when there is one person with a learning disability and over 55
Adult Carers- carers over the age of 19 who care for a relative or friend with the exception of carers that come under Mental Health Carers or Mutual Carers remit
Mental Health Carers- carers over the age of 18 who care for an adult with poor mental health
You don’t have to tell anyone that you’re a carer, but it can be useful to register as a carer if you are trying to access certain grants or services.
You can register with the Bromley Well Carers Support Service by calling Bromley Well freephone 0808 278 7898 or email spa@bromleywell.org.uk. Don’t forget to ask your GP to register you as a carer too.
