Winning Stars Families aim to improve the quality of lives of disabled children and their families. They also promote the rights of disabled children and raise awareness about living with disabilities by organising forums and workshops within the borough that promote the rights of SEND families.

These are some of the activities offered:

• Gardening challenge (started this year following the lock down and cancellation of most

• Organising Soft Play and Sensory Sessions, Group Swim, (parent and child as a team),
  
• yoga and mindfulness sessions
•  Physio massage
• Creative activities for children and parents
  
• Educational trips abroad and within the UK that combat isolation and reduce stress
  
• Telephone helpline for carers and respite for families looking after children with profound
  
• needs.
