Homely and inviting, the modern home has a number of shared facilities which residents can make us of. The cosy and spacious lounge opens out on to the patio, overlooking the large flower-filled garden. Residents dine together for lunch and a light tea within the bright and well decorated dining room. The home also has laundry facilities, a stairlift and general lift. A housekeeper provides two daily meals and takes care of the communal areas, residents supply their own breakfast and maintain their bedrooms.

Staff and residents at David Baxter House are supported by a social committee, which is made up of volunteers. The committee arranges regular coffee mornings, outings and activities within the home, such as informative talks and visits from external groups.
