The Trust promotes the welfare of elderly people residing in the Borough of Bromley by providing financial assistance towards the purchase of equipment or services that are not available from the Local Authority, Government or Landlords.
The grants are to improve the well being of those in our community who have reached State Retirement Age.
The funds of the Trust are limited and it is important that grants reach those who have the greatest need for support. Therefore it is necessary for the Trust to ask about applicant’s income and savings.
Only those involved in the assessment procedure will see the Applications.
Assistance is available to elderly people living in the Borough of Bromley who are in financial difficulty and need, for example, to replace a broken cooker, require a new bed or chair, etc.
Help is in the form of a single grant which can be used to buy equipment or services that are not available from the Government, the London Borough of Bromley or your Landlord.
The grants are only available to improve the well being of those in our community who have reached State Retirement Age.
If you would like to apply for a grant, please ring the office of Age UK in Bromley (020-8315-1850)
