Disability Sport - Schools Programmes

Palace for Life Foundation

We support people of all ages living with a disability, including the delivery of Down’s syndrome, powerchair, vision impairment and mental health football sessions. We help participants improve motor skills and physical fitness, as well as build their self-esteem and provide opportunities to interact with new friends and the wider community all through Disability Sport.

Low self-esteem and a lack of confidence can plague children with disabilities. Allowing them to have equal access to sports can enhance their gross motor skills, social and communicating abilities, as well as improve their overall health and well-being. Children with special needs will mature physically, socially and emotionally when participating in a recreational activity.

WHAT?

Extensive schools program that sees our experienced and specialist trained disability coaches deliver a mixture of curriculum lessons and after school clubs. This includes offering additional support to those children in mainstream schools who may have some special educational needs or additional challenges. The Foundation also works in special educational needs schools to deliver disability-specific programs.

WHO?

Primary & Junior SEND and mainstream schools
