Downe Activity Centre is a place like no other; the home of outdoor adventure since 1929.
The site has an incredible history from John Lubbock, 1st Baron Avebury and Charles Darwin, through it’s purchase by the Scouts and opening by Baden-Powell as well as a stint as a training ground for the home guard in WWII.
Friends of Downe (FoDAC) purchased the site in 2024. You can read more about the FoDAC story here.
