Our purpose is to enjoy our beautiful natural history, to learn more about it and to spread that knowledge, and to encourage others to do the same. Our field trips cover the Bromley and Orpington areas, and we also visit many more distant sites.
We record much of what we find, and the records are made available to local authorities, national and county trusts, and other bodies concerned about the preservation of habitats and wildlife.
Leaders organise field trips and indoor meetings and invite Members to participate.
Members are encouraged to submit their observations to the Kent and Medway Biological Records Centre (KMBRC) https://www.kmbrc.org.uk/submitting-records-to-kmbrc or Greenspace Information for Greater London (GiGL) http://www.gigl.org.uk/submit-records/ or through specialist group internet sites.
There will be an annual meeting held at BEECHE, High Elms Country Park, Farnborough to discuss ideas and determine plans for the coming year.
