As with most good things in life, becoming a father can create challenges. If you’re soon to become a father or you’re a new dad and you need a bit of support, our Tuesday night Being Dad group is for you.

Our free Being Dad group helps men learn more about looking after themselves, managing the changes and challenges of parenthood and supporting their partner. The sessions also offer an opportunity to meet other dads.

Who is Being Dad for?

  • Bromley Being Dad groups are free for men who live in Bromley borough and:
  • Are expectant dads
  • Are new dads with a child under two years old or

Are male caregivers such as a grandparent of young children up to the age of two.

Stay-at-home, working, adoptive and foster dads and step-fathers are all welcome.

Topics covered will include:

  • Understanding your parenting identity/style
  • Supporting your partner in your new parental role
  • The changing dynamics with your partner, family and friends.

Plus proven techniques for managing stress, tiredness and worry.

The groups are led by men with their own personal experience of looking after themselves as dads or male caregivers to babies and young children.
