Conservation Days

Friends of High Broom Wood

High Broom Woods is one of Bromley’s undiscovered treasures. It covers an area of about 7.2 hectares (15.8 acres) that is a natural river corridor for the river Beck. This small river gives the Wood its special charm, waterside trees and plant life form the heavily wooded appearance of the Wood.

Work so far has concentrated on clearing brambles and cutting down small Holly and Sycamore trees, bigger trees have also been felled by the help and guidance of Bromley Council.

We meet on the second Saturday of the month (except August) from 09:30 until about 12:30 for our conservation day. We meet at the St. David’s Close entrance. The working groups are open to all so come along and join us.
