The British Lung Foundation provides a range of support, information and advice about living with a lung condition and can also provide links to local activities, e.g exercise groups, which might be of interest.

* They run a helpline - phone 03000 030 555, or you can email them or write
* There are support groups - search on their website by postcode for "Breathe Easy" support groups throughout the UK. These groups support people with lung disease, their families, friends and carers
* You can join their web community where you can chat to people like you online, 24 hours a day.

* They provide information on a range of lung conditions including:- bronchiectasis, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), IPF (Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), lung cancer, mesothelioma, pneumonia and pulmonary fibrosis.

* Some areas of information and advice include:-
* dealing with air pollution
* breathing and lung function tests
* end of life
* keeping active with a lung condition
* cold weather
* quitting smoking
* welfare benefits
and your home and your lungs.
