Bexley Age UK offer toe nail cutting to help older people (50+) living in the borough of Bexley, to remain mobile and active. Diabetic referrals must come via your GP or diabetic nurse on a DART form.
* Costs and venues:-
1. Housebound Bexley residents - first visit costs £30.00, which includes a foot care assessment and covers the purchase of nail clippers and file and thereafter, each visit costs £20.00 per person.
2. For Bexley residents that are not housebound, there are clinics at:-
Age UK Bexley Day Centre Bushey Court, Slade Green and at Age UK Bexley Sidcup Day Centre and occasional clinics at the Lakeside Surgery, Thamesmead.
The cost is £15.00.
3. There is also a podiatry clinic which is held monthly at the Sidcup Day Centre.
* Appointment cancellations: - Please call by 2.00 p.m on the day prior to your scheduled appointment to notify them of any changes or cancellations. To cancel a Monday appointment, please call their office by 2pm on Friday. If prior notification is not given, you will be charged 100% of the usual fee at your next appointment.
