Bromley Dementia Friendly Community raises awareness of the local dementia support available and helps businesses and the community to understand what it means to be dementia friendly.
We run Dementia Friends Awareness sessions, hold monthly meetings for the local dementia community and encourage local business and organisations who are dementia friendly to partner with us.
Dementia Awareness Sessions
Several people within our team are Dementia Friends Ambassadors who can deliver Dementia Friends Awareness Sessions.
A Dementia Friends Ambassador is an Alzheimer’s Society volunteer, who has been trained to deliver awareness sessions and contribute to changing attitudes about dementia.
Our Ambassadors deliver awareness sessions to schools, businesses and community groups across the Bromley borough. This includes hospitals, GP surgeries, shops, leisure centres, cinemas, opticians.
If you would like to arrange a Dementia Friends Session for your school, business or community group, please see our Partners page or contact us.
Monthly Breakfast Networking Meetings
We hold free monthly meetings for businesses and local groups to find out about the latest dementia news and to become part of our dementia friendly community.
Our meetings are usually on the first Tuesday of each month between 8am and 10am at Thackray Williams in Bromley.
To find out more or to come to one of our breakfast meetings, please contact us.
